Wireframe Map Features

Note: For general information on map feature digitizing and configuration, see Map Features.

A wireframe map is, typically, an uneven surface. In this respect it differs from both face and level maps.

Digitizing automatically 'snaps' the digitized point to the loaded surface, along the line of sight. Care should be taken when digitizing to ensure any extreme angle changes (between, say, wireframe triangles) doesn't cause erratic shape changes. You can mitigate this to a certain extent by orienting the view first, and by smoothing or making final edits to a digitized feature after the initial 'draw'.
